I still drive to McDonalds from time to time on a Sunday, to get Hot Cakes and Sausage, cause I can't cook a pancake to save my life. I'd rate my pancake skills at 3.5 out of 10.

I make my own breakfast sammiches also. I call them Steezy McMuffins. But I don't have a single complaint about what McD's sells for breakfast. Not too fond of the rest of their food, except for the new chicken tenders which I love. I can make those faster and better too, but sometimes you want your food quick & easy, with no dishes to clean up afterwards.

The frozen chosen? Wasn't that an episode of Northern Exposure? (keeping the 90s TV theme)

I bet you and J.B. would personally endorse a product called the McJew. Maybe a corned beef on rye or something like that.

I must apologize...it was that fake Jew Costanza who put the lobster in the eggs.

I just heard a friend rave about his new toaster oven/air fryer combo. It made my Future Purchase list.

I got my sister a Nu Wave air fryer for Christmas, I had some food cooked in it on Easter. I will have one by this weekend. Fabulous food. The best kielbasa that I ever had from that thing.

It's just a teapot. I believe it's a collector's item now. I don't even use a teapot anymore. I drunkenly ordered some crazy expensive automated espresso machine a couple of years back and mostly use it to get instant hot water for making a cup of tea. That and I'll sometimes use it to crank out a quad shot of espresso and mix it with ice and chocolate milk for a homemade iced mocha.

Pole Saw attachment for my weed wacker - $99 at Lowes.
After 10yrs, the gears seem to have worn out on my old one. I got good use out of the thing, easily one of my all time best purchases. With all the trees I have down after the last couple snows (easily 30+), I was planning to buy a regular chainsaw, but I can still cut most of em up w/ this lil 8" bar, and have a buddy bring a chainsaw by one day for the big stuff.
The one bonus is that they come with extension bars, so now I have an extra 3', so I am at about 14' of reach. Comes in handy when a tree comes down, but is hung up on a branch in another.
These downed trees make me so sad. Behind my horse pasture I had so many spots that I was trimming to about 7' high, so they had become canopied over the last 10-15yrs, always providing cool damp shade, and now most of em are fucked.

Piggyback performance chip for my Audi. I have a turbodiesel engine that was part of the VW/Audi emissions cheating scandal and after the EPA-approved emissions fix, it lost some oomph. This tricks the engine into putting out a little more boost, so it drives kind of like it did before the fix. I'm sure most of the settlement money was given to Jew lawyers, but I have them to thank again for a nice fat check from VW/Audi and also from Bosch. Because, as you know, I'm always looking for a handout.

A passport for the kid. He's going to play on a college summer team. They play a couple of games north of the boarder. Looking it's their first game so the wife paid extra to have it rushed. Almost $250 in all. Today I get an email from the team reminding us of the passport need..... or an enhanced DL. He already had one of those so $250 pissed away.

They don't make diet soda? Honestly, the main reason I want one is because the liquor stores and convenience stores have stopped selling Diet 7Up for some reason or other, which means I gotta make two stops before I go home and get my drink on.

did not know that. Isn't diet soda still on the no list? I stopped drinking soda decades ago except for a couple of times a year or so if I happen across a Frank's Black Cherry Wishniak or a Faygo Rock n Rye. Those two are worth it, but otherwise it's brewed ice tea or water. If you happen across the Pepsi delivery truck, ask the guy where he stocks the shit you like.

^ Yeah, I've had type 1 (the non fat person type) since I was a teenager. I generally mix vodka with diet cranberry juice. But when they sold diet 7Up at the liquor store, I would buy it just for the sake of convenience. That's why I was thinking that maybe the SodaStream would be helpful to make diet soda when I need to.
As far as diet soda being on the "no list" for diabetics, I haven't heard that. It's not good for anyone and I generally avoid it, but sometimes you just want to drink something that has a little flavor to it. And when I'm mixing it with vodka, I'm already drink poison, so why not?

I don't know. It's super rare. I get it at the Philly steak joint down at USC or if I'm actually in Philly. It's a local Philly company that died off and was resurrected by some tiny company in NJ. There is Stewart's, who bought the rights to the Frank's names but the Stewart's does not taste right.

I got one. I use the hacker adapter and get the 24oz bottle refills for $5-$6 depending on the location. Got a bottle of diet orange SodaStream soda 2 feet away from my right arm.

But does it taste like the stuff with the real flavour? Like what you would get down at the Chinese joint?

Not really, but its acceptible. I drink mostly "Waters Zeros" - fruity syrups of cranberry and grapefruit with 0 calories, and other diet soda flavors. The closest syrup to the real stuff is the energy drink syrup. The rest are pretty much cheap immitations/wannabees. Dr Pepper/Pete, root beer and cola and pretty weak. Sometimes I put the Dasani or Kool-Aid syrup instead of SodaStream syrup, rarely I put real-squeezed lemon juice.
I'd also like to see what happens if you carbonate something that tastes good to begin with, since flat soda tastes like complete shit.
