The sight system on the AK is notoriously bad and the cartridge, itself, is on the weaker side and is not known for accuracy. We all have very little time on this planet-- do yourself a favor and step up to 7.62 NATO and enjoy your time on the range.

Thanks I just opened a shit load of 7.62 from Cabelas about an hour ago. I was also just thinking about an alternative to the AK. I would actually like something bolt action I think.
