Hmm. Definitely could be a short somewhere that I have n way of isolating. it's kind of embarrassing, I have box of cables of all sorts in my house but just the 2 pieces of S-video so I have no way of troubleshooting.

Oh well, guess I'm watching "Strangers on a Train" this evening.
