I used to think that way about sunglasses, too. But if you spend more for them you'll take better care of them. And good quality polarized lenses are head and shoulders over cheapies. Borrow a pair of Costa Del Mar, Maui Jim's, or another similar quality sportsmans glasses for a few hours and you'll see a big difference.
