Trust me, I totally know it's insane, but really nice kitchens and bathrooms totally get me going. I spent more time in the kitchen than the living room, rarely had friends in Vegas let alone guests, and still money left over to save. I know the kitchen taking priority over having a couch makes no sense, but I seriously didn't want to spend more than $1K on a couch and didn't see any I liked until I moved to CA.
