My buddy swears he doesn't have to take the dash apart, we'll see. I know better than to attempt it on my own. Dash would be held together w/ duct tape and zip ties, and there would be a minimum of one think that didn't work right after it was together.

The extent of my interior skills is taking apart a steering column to tighten up the tilt or replace the ignition. Changing radio/speakers too, but that don't really count.

If the car is post 80's, it is major surgery to get to the fan. I posted about my '88 Jag blower fan somewhere on here. (The bastard has two). I don't know how the Brits thought that was redundancy if one fan going on the fritz made the other blow the air outside the car.

When I was a kid growing up in Florida in the 60's and 70's, you either had Chucks or you had "Hot-Boxers". If you wore hot boxers you were certainly not cool. The term referred to the stitch pattern at the bottom of the lacing, where the vamp and upper rejoined. Chucks had a triangular stitch pattern and for some reason all the Keds and other knock-off brands had a square box pattern. Google seems to bear out it was a Florida thing.

I broke from the pack around 1979 and got a pair of leather Nike hightops. White with a grey "swoosh". After a long while of daily wear the black kids started laughing and calling them "King Tut" shoes because the white finish on the leather started cracking and crazing. I didn't care, though. I wore them to school, shrimping, biking or whatever.
