1911 is a good handgun. Including it's predecessors, it's been around for over a century now. Mine is almost 50 years old and still groups at less than an inch at 15 yards.
My Sig P220 is my favorite handgun for this round and I have a Winchester Ranch carbine (like the Rifleman) chambered for the .45 ball. For a carbine, this fucker shoots amazingly flat out to 100 yards with this round.
The American Arms Thompson (think Bonnie & Clyde) is the next .45 caliber on my list to get.
