Take as much or as little money as you want. No one will kick you out for not buying dances. Not all guys are into dances, but do bring enough to tip onstage. If you don't plan on buying dances, DO NOT encourage the girls to engage in convo with you. As wonderful and fabulous as you may be, the bottom line is they are there to make money. They didn't initiate convo to take a break or because they are bored as some may tell you. It is part of their sales approach to personalize themselves as a product so you buy dances. Don't lead them on. It's better strip club etiquette to be honest and tell them that you didn't bring enough money and can only afford to tip on stage.

Also, if you sit at the tip rail (yes, you'd better be tipping at the TIP rail), the girls won't ask you for dances since most clubs don't allow the dancers to approach customers at the tip rail as it would be rude to that performer on stage.
