1. How? The "Shroud of Turin"? Pieces of the "Real Cross"?

I'd love to see real proof. So would many who believe in Jesus as Messiah. They search for archeological evidence to prove his existance all the time. Granted, they would not be happy to find his body, though.

While I believe Jesus lived, other than the Bible, there are no contemporary historical references to him. None. No record of his execution in the Roman record. The brief reference by Josephus was tacked on to his work later.

The places that are commemorated for him in Jerusalem were marked out by Imperial Roman converts 300 or more years after he would have died and after the city had been destroyed twice to repress Jewish rebellions.

This destruction easily explains why evidence of a real person might be missing. But, it doesn't prove a person existed.

There's no proof of Moses, Abraham, Noah, Adam, either btw.


2. Why does his existance matter. The thread could say "Zeus doesn't like you" and most won't assume the poster thought Zeus existed.
