Vanilla Ice arrested in Florida on domestic battery charge

Scorned ex-rapper turned reality TV star Vanilla Ice was released from jail Friday morning following his arrest on yet another domestic battery charge. His wife Laura called authorities Thursday night, accusing Ice of hitting and kicking her in their Florida home.

The 39-year-old, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, denied lashing out at his wife. She allegedly changed her story later, saying Ice just pushed her.

This wouldn't be the first time he has landed in trouble over his hot temper. He spent a night in jail in 2001 after Laura said he struck her when driving. Ice denied that too, saying he merely told her to shut up and ripped out some of her hair, according to the AP.

The Palm Beach Post in Florida reports that his wife has finally had enough and wants a divorce. The couple married in the mid '90s, a happier time when the rapper's single "Ice Ice Baby" hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold 15 million copies.
