Lots of good shit here worth looking forward to, but also lots of just plain shit.

I'm not sure how they are going to top the last remake of "The Thing". John Carpenter's version with Kurt Russell in the lead role is still in my top ten playlist. Creepy and scary as hell with fantastic special effects and not a single one computer generated! Kind of makes it all the more real.

The Last Starfighter, Tron, Logan's Run (hope it's closer to the book then the first lame attempt), Westworld; fuck I hope I live long enough.

Dune as a movie is a waste of time. Even the last remake, a 10 hour mini-series, wasn't long enough to do the book justice (but it came the closest out of all of them). A two or three hour movie is just an insult to this epic novel.

I think they should remake "A cure for Insomnia" (1987). This movie is 87 HOURS long in it's entirety (yes, thats five thousand two hundred twenty minutes) and includes the reading of a 4000 page manuscript on camera. Now there's a movie that lives up to it's title!
