The common lie is that the photos are for a modeling "portfolio" but you still need the release due to legality. Once you have all that, you can sell them to the highest bidder. a usage agreement is what youre thinking of
once a model signs a usage agreement thats fine for holly
or anyone else those imagesa nd their usage are signed over to
to do whatever with them

thats not exploitation
the model is paid her rate and there her interest in the images ends
and the photographer can submit them to magazines, or publish them in a calendar or whatever after a usage agreememtn is signed

and portfolio shots are often paid for by the model
or shot on trade tfp/tfcd basis
not hte other way around
