Which does not mean it would not have happened under an administration where Tipper Gore was the first lady and Joe Lieberman the V.P. Tell Dee Snider (or get a oujia board and tell Frank Zappa and John Denver) that this didn't happen. No they didn't prosecute anyone but it was certainly Tipper's goal to prevent recording artists from making any thing that didn't pass her personal smell test.

Also considering Clinton's personal exploits at the time going after the porn industry would have only created a Great Barrier Reef sized source of material for comedians and late-night talk show monologues. Clinton put himself in a position such that he couldn't go after porn whether he wanted to or not.
