Good writer but noted for his short fuse. He walked off some live radio show after being called a science fiction writer by the host. Apparently, the host had been told Ellison did not like that tag and used it nonetheless, perhaps because he forgot or in order to elicit some snappy response from Ellison. Ellison just got up and left the interview. I don't even think he prefaced his move with a, "this interview is over." Tough bastard. Read "Angry Candy" for a look into his character. He's known for bridges left, right, and center.
