There is almost nothing worse than a media whore, unless it's a media whore pretending to be a scientists.

I watched "The Hawking Paradox" the other day. They said in list of the 10 most important physicists of the last century, compiled by physicists, Hawking didn't make it at all.

There is also an asian guy, with shoulder length white hair, I can't think of his name. You will see an awful lot of him if you watch any of the discovery channels. I think he is a Professor at a NYU. He's no where near as arrogant or condescending as Hawass, but a media whore none the less.

Yeah that Asian guy is annoying.
Neil deGrasse Tyson of the Hayden Planetarium [and Harvard alum] is a bit of a media whore with many appearances on Nova, History Channel and Science Channel ... but I find him very interesting/entertaining.
I've liked him since his decision to drop Pluto as a planet long before others did.

I've heard more than enough of Hawass from listening to "Coast to Coast AM" over the years, and what a jackass. He's got a total monopoly on the entire Egyptian antiquities "industry", for lack of a better term, in all of it's physical specimens and especially it's dogma. Whatever, we all know that aliens built those pyramids.

I always thought Michio Kaku was called upon frequently because he can explain quantum physics to a retarded. Zahi Hawass I have to agree though. That guy actually loves his time on camera.

I met Tyson once, when the planetarium held an event for the first live images of Titan broadcast from the Cassini–Huygens space probe. Really nice guy. Not at all haughty or condecending like many of these media whores.

I know from that one view that he is FUCKING ANNOYING!

It's amazing that Life on Earth even exists with all that he feels NASA has done wrong. If only the original inhabitants of Mars had listened to the Martian version of him, Life would still exist there, too!

He's not an archaeologist. He's a writer and "film maker" [whatever you want that to mean]. He has no doctorate in any field, and his other degrees are not in any way related to archaeology.

He's also known for insulting people that ask him questions he doesn't like. I love it when he starts to mimic women because he goes so off tangent and gets overly excited it borders on childish rant.
There was a time he attended some writers talk and he began basically just pointing people out and attacking their work. It was pretty funny but it's exactly the sort of thing that will guarantee you never get work.

I was about to add Dr. Aryeh Nusbacher, who seems to be featured in every program on the Military Channel.
