I glanced up from the computer in the St.L. bottom of the 5th, at the same time Yadier Molina got a high fastball. Half-way through his swing, Yadier and I both began to smile. There pitching, so far, is a statistical "blip" above everyone else in the AL!

I watch the A's every game. Their pitching is damn good. Their bullpen great. They have a young but pretty damn talented team. If they can keep Harden healthy you have a great One Two punch with Him and Blanton. The only negative so far is that they haven't hit a lot of home runs. They hit doubles like it's going out of style and they have actually been stealing bases this year. 9 so far I think. Not sure if they can completely compete with the Angels but time will tell.

Yeah, it's nice to see that they are competitive. No one expected it to be that way. Billy Beane is pretty good at his job.

I've been at one of the NY Mets games that was a part of a school trip, and that trip was the one of the most boring trips that I've been at. What a piece of shit of unfun was that. Food is also overpriced there as well, for the late 90's it was $3.00 for a hot dog, maybe today it is like $5.00. But their excuse is like "Hey!, this is New York City"(in a thick Italian Brooklyn accent). This is the thing bothers me the most that these so called fans get defrauded by these sports industries that make them buy all the overpriced hot dogs, t-shirts, bumper stickers, memorabilia, bobble heads, and other etcetra overpriced crap.

Another thing that bothers me is how they look up to all the sports figures, like Derek Jeter for example. A lot of New Yorker's view this guy as somekind of god. I bet that he is really good at what he does, but I would just draw the line here. But other "fans" pretty much follow him like a puppy, buying the stuff that he endorses like the Gatorade G2 drink, driving a Ford pickup, owning-and-wearing Jeter-endorsed wrist watch, etc. They are even coming up with a Derek Jeter Fitness Gym over at 3 NYC locations. Some faggot is probably thinking "Hey, I will sign up and fork $100+ by going to this gym so I can relate to Derek Jeter, he is such a cool guy". These fucking dumb ass fans.

Tampa Bay/Oakland, yes.

Arizona and Florida ironic? No. Both already have championships this decade. Though, I admit, Florida wasn't expected to do anything this year, Arizona was a trendy pick and Colorado made it to the series last year with less talent.

Small market teams like Kansas City and their owners/management have no excuses when you look at what the Marlins have been able to accomplish.

Fatman, KC is only a game and a half out of first in the A.L. Central. Of course you can say that about everyone in the division except Detroit, but if KC finds one more bat in their lineup their pitching looks good enough to keep them in the race. Their main concern has to be keeping everyone healthy. They don't have a lot of depth and their prospects are either already on the Royals roster or a year or two away. They don't have much at AAA to call up in case of injuries.

A's (hopefully) recover from 3-9 rough patch and sweep the Red Sox.
