When did they start paying well at synagogues?



I've been a paralegal for 20 years, one firm 9 years and one firm almost 12. I also take shorthand, type quick, and Im got skills. So Im a smart cookie, even using I was still able to maintain my jobs. One attorney I lied to and said the Psych put me on meds and I abused them, he offered to pay for rehab of course I refused saying I didnt have a problem, I should of jumped on it I would ord retired there, that job only paid 22.00 an hour but that was from 1983-1992. We had a decent profit sharing, pension, the whole 9. But since I refused, he had to let me go. I then got another job or only 20.00 an hour with all my experience but I was still using and managed to stay there ll years. I've been with the Rabbbi's now for almost 1 year and Im sober and they love me there, there's 3 girls, my friend of 35 years who had gotten me the interview and it was a wrap, they liked me alot, which is good, we just had a huge party last Sunday on Tavern on The Greene, it was good, but I would never ever fucking pay $450.00 a plate, it was 7 course meal, its was very, very good, but I wasnt so impressed and that's the first time I've been there as a New York here for 41 years. And probably the last, I know so many other fine restaurants I rather spend my cash on at least I know the food is good, fresh, and get my money's re. I would have to put in at least 20 years. Damn will I be old then. But if they keep raising me who gives a shit, these arent cheap jews, the synagogue is gorgeous on Central Park West on the Upper East Side, I lucked out, someone got me in actually. Anywho for $3o.oo an hour, I cant fucking complain, it's 3 1/2 days a week, a paid day off each month (at you choice) you get 2 weeks vaca, and all paid jewish holdiday plus majob holidays where the post office is closed. And on the days I dont work there, I work a 2nd job for 15.00 and hour as an Adminisrative Secretary for a HVAC company. So its not so bad, but working 6 days can be very fucking draining!!!
But believe me every week when my check comes in I dont compain at all. Im just used very used to all the money and I fucking love it.
