i urge all to read a bit of ranathan. 700 posts isn't a big assignment-here's how to enjoy one of my all-time favorites: when you find all posts by ranathan and you get them in 25/page which is what it is and can't be changed here. understand the more posts in a bunch in one thread you see, the better ranathan you'll find. if they're in longer that a 24-hour period you can skip them, they're not what made him great. his fastball was the 12-hour cycle of just hitting the board with something ridiculous, usually a bit better if the title's potentially a source of something he'd bet on that day and would be excited, shitfaced, crushed, and then return after what must have been a few hours of blackout sleep, mention he's physically experiencing some incapacitation alongside pain then gets mad at himself as hes looking upwards in the thread. going from excited to have picked more booze up in the rain shitfaced because his car's being washed by rain in the lot while he's getting bombed to resentment and facing a sunday of just the day to dry heave and sweat on the couch for 12-hours. he'd wake up and know he was fucked and flip on some pregame and try to not thing about what his bookie made off him last night in college football.
