That really wasn't the question. Even the god-squaders conceded the point that Creationism is religion and religion can't be taught in public school.

The question was is "intelligent design" science or religion. The plantiffs, and the scientific community, believe that "intelligent design" is just Creationism is a quasi-scientific wrapper.

The judge found that the plantiffs proved "ID" was religion, and so textbooks that include "ID" cannot be used in public schools. Since the school board who put the books into the school was completely voted out of office, the case was not appealed, and it stopped there to be challenged again by another set of crackpots.


And, Jim ... Dover is in southeast/southcentral PA in York County between Baltimore and Harrisburg. But, it certainly is a very religious Christian area.
