I'm in the mood for a good horror movie, what are some of your favorites? I really like those lost somewhere with a bunch of crazies around flicks like: Hills have eyes, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Cannibal Holocaust and Wrong Turn(Eliza Dushku).

I recommend any Hellraiser. Might as well start at the beginning.

DOCTOR LAMB and THE UNTOLD STORY.

Demons and Evil Dead are two of my all time favorites.

Yes, evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness are required viewing.

My preference is the second one. The first was their first low budget attempt, and the second was basically a remake after they got more money from a studio after said studio saw the promise of the first one.

Outstanding cultural exhibits. This is one of those things I'm proud of.

Man you guys have good taste in these movies as I like every one mentioned. Even Dr.lamb, the only one I haven't seen yet is the other one that Smartt posted but I have heard of it and will make an effort to find on my next trip to Chinatown.

Evil Dead 2 is a great movie with a lot of laughs too, and Demons is one of my favorites- anything with Nostodamus stuff and a big black italian pimp as a hero is all right with me . Just thinking of that character yelling "Shit another door" with his delevery of the line makes me smile.

Smartt again I say you have good taste in movies. I love Zombie and Re- animator. The latter having some of the best lines ever in a horror movie- as when West is talking to a severed head" Who is going to believe a talking head, get a job in a fucking sideshow". The Eye is another one for the chinatown trip and Dinocroc is unknown to me, but with Corman the effects can't be that good right?

Actually, Dinocroc is not that bad. It´s a TV movie.

Good to hear Smartt, Ihope it airs here because I love that stuff. Anything with a giant animal on the rampage is good for me- Jaws, The beast (squid), Godzilla, etc.

Jaws is actually a very good movie. The first one.

DEAD ALIVE aka BRAINDEAD (best horror movie ever)

Smartt, whatever you do do not watch a Japanese Horror movie called Stacy, I thought it would be good so I sought it out and finally watched it tonight- simply awful would be the only way to describe it- avoid.

Hm. Weird. Some people love it, others hate it. What about the TOMIE trilogy?

I don't know because I have yet to see any of them, but I do like Junk, Versus and Evil Dead Trap. Stacy's production values were just too low for me. An american movie with low production values that I did enjoy was Detour( hell's highway)- but then again I am a sucker for those lost and hounded by cannibal movies.
