Know/Believe. Pretty petty, actually. I've heard preachers - and others - say the same type of thing. Something like, "We know that all porn watchers are going straight to Hell". Which assumes both a Hell and clairvoyance of God's judgment. Whores do amazingly stupid things every day. This doesn't seem to be one of those to me.  She's got a right not to believe in an afterlife. Sorry.

Actually Zen, I'm fairly certain Easter IS calculated by lunar calendar*. I believe that it is the first Sunday after the 1st full moon after the vernal equinox ... which is why Easter moves around from March to April like Passover does. [And, since Mardi Gras/Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Good Friday are all tied to Easter, they move as well.]
The vernal equinox and the full moon happened last Friday, so this past Sunday was Easter.
[If I'm wrong on this let me know. I'm repeating what I learned in an astronomy class of all places.]
This year is a "leap" year in the Hebrew calendar, and so an entire lunar month is added to adjust this lunar calendar be more closely in sync with the solar year and thus aid Jewish holidays falling in specific seasons since the lunar year is only 356 days, IIRC.
If it weren't a Jewish leap year, Passover, which falls on the Full Moon, would have fallen on Thursday/Friday and would have overlapped with Easter as it often does.
So part of the difference between being a Jew and being a Christian this year is whether you buy into this year's leap month.
To each his own!
[* - actually, like the Hebrew calendar, the Easter calendar is a combination of lunar and solar elements. But, since we both would consider the Hebrew calendar a lunar calendar, and since the Easter calendar is derived from the Hebrew calendar, I'm just keeping the nomenclature consistant.]

I've read it a few times now... and I still can't find anything wrong with what she said. Honestly, unless you're completely fucking retarded you should know that there won't be any heaven or hell when you die. Of course, I suppose there is nothing wrong with believing in some fairy-tale about puffy clouds and what not. I mean, shit, kids believe in Santa Claus... so I guess there is a precedence.
Of course, they are just kids... they are expected to believe whatever people tell them.

My mom did her thesis on the Aztec and Mayan calenders!!
The Mayan used 2 intersecting calendars, a solar calender and a calendar based upon the length of a human preganancy.
Their months were 20 days long since they counted in 20s - the way we count in 10s and the Sumarians counted in 60s.
The shorter calendar based on human gestation was 13 months or 260 days.
The longer one was made of 18 months with a short "month" of 5 extra days. Since this didn't fit with their counting of 20s, they felt the universe was out of balance during this week and would go a bit nutso during this "period of evil".
Apparantly they didn't adjust for "leap year", which some use as support that they got this calendar, and more importantly their pyramids, from the Egyptians whose solar calendar drifted, too. [the "Ra" voyages were real big when Mom was studying this].
Every 52 solar years the new years of the two calendars coincide [which is every 73 years of the shorter calendar]. Thus, they believed that 52 solar years represented the ideal human life span.
Surprisingly this intersection was NOT celebrated. In fact, much like the extra 5 days, it was DREADED.
They believed that the world will come to an end during such an intersection. So, those last extra 5 days just before the intersection of the calendars must have been madness.
But, once into the new 52 year cycle, they would take solace into the fact that the world got another 52 year reprieve.
We used to have an Aztec calendar in our house my mom picked up in Mexico.
