How much info can cops gather from an ip address? is it even worth reporting?
i received one today on a site i frequent and im thinking of reporting it, im sure it is nothing but the fact they alluded to something about me only past co workers or people i know personally would know im somewhat worried.

Track down the person's ISP. I believe there are sites where you can do that. Notify same ISP. If it happens again, go to the police. Document everything!

I think both sites provide ISP with an email address where you can report abuse. If necessary, they can trace the EXACT holder data from their IP address. But probably only if there's a warrant or something.
