Keep in mind that NS only distributed SW and HH, not owned them outright. The word on the street was that the company was not earning its way as a distributor so SW left, HH selling out to SW earlier this year. As under marketed assets, both companies have done better with SW becoming the distributor but weren't the most lucrative profits made as a producer?

Now that NS/DS are so focused on compilations (many of them pretty good comps at that), they are reportedly eroding as sales diminish. Spending big money on ANY man, much less Diesel, seems a foolish gamble considering how much of a one trick pony he is (a limp pony according to Reviewer Smut) but I doubt very much he is paid that much per scene. If you said that much per movie, I could accept it but aside from his erection problems, his niche is limited and there are a dozen or more men able to better fill his shoes for less cost (off the top of my head: Napier, Mac, Mann, Steele, Strong, etc...).
