Looking at that site made me feel unclean... like when morbid curiosity drives me to look at neo-nazi recruitment sites, or the "jerk off zone".
I like whales. I also like polar bears, mountain gorillas, and trees. Not in an unnatural way. I wouldn't live in a tree or chain myself to one. But I am from Vermont, and ever since I read "The Monkey Wrench Gang" when I was a kid I haven't been quite right in the head.
