Actually, according to ADA, which is federal law, the state has to pay for ANY employee in the US is required to have access ... no one can be denied based upon a disability if that disability can be reasonably accomodated ... so the braille thing isn't much of an issue. The NYS AG's office has had blind attorneys forever.
David seems to get around just fine. I don't know him, but I met him several times when I was a PAC secretary as he was an up and coming state senator - where I consistantly misspelled his name, as you did, with 2 "t"s. He isn't helpless.
The blindness isn't an issue. It has nothing to do with being able to govern NY. Let's see how he gets on with Silver [who didn't side with him when he ousted Marty Connor], Bruno [who now sits next in line] and the rest of the clown circus.
