The Content-Type is wrong: this is not a text file! The correct MIME type as I understand it is "video/x-ms-wmv" (it's strange, but Microsoft hasn't had a type officially assigned yet).

You don't notice the problem under IE due to a bug in IE.

I'm going to guess at a fix. You're using Apache, and the Apache 2 sources I'm looking at don't know about WMV by default: you need to add it (it does know about MPEG). Look for the file named "mime.types" and add a line like

and restart Apache. I bet it works now.

Meatholes seems to have the same problem, probably for the same reason. I hadn't noticed before because I prefer MPEG.
