Frankly I thought it was retarded. When they found out they could cram a tiny bit of extra space onto a CD they didn't bother with a new format. And that's all this is, a minimal upgrade. When they release some mind blowing upgrade I'll be impressed with it but when 80% of the people* tested can't tell the difference between either new format vs dvd then it's not worth anyone's time or in particular our money.

* In every non vendor survey 80% or more of people sampled couldn't tell a difference between them. It's theorized that a further 10% just happened to guess for the new technology.
