What I don't get is: Bad Habit seemed like a perfectly reasonable poster up until a week ago. Two years without a malfunction or meltdown. Then somebody made yet another offhand remark about Skeeter and the guy loses it. What happened?

There are plenty of reasons to hate a man. But that hatred shouldn't be based on lies. Go ahead and hate Skeeter but at least have a valid reason for it.

I have known Skeeter for over 5 years now. In that time he has never lied to me or cheated me. There are very few other people in this industry that I can say the same thing about.

It just bothered me to see others telling such blatantly obvious lies.

Then, of course, one does tend to get caught up in the adversarial aspect of a thread which tends to feed back on itself. Unfortunately, there seem to be more of the "jock" type personalities here than the intellectual kind, so the debates rather rapidly degenerate into name-calling and all intelligent discourse comes to an end.
Short reason: it's fun to piss of the self-important egos, and I'm trying to up my posting count.
