I thought Jim B. was being ironic ala Colbert, to reinforce a point of how much the ratings-driven corporate media is focusing on the trivial as opposed to the "macro" concepts of tax rates, economic fairness, affordable health care, thoughtful foreign policy, environmental concerns, etc.
