elab i may have a shirt wrapped around my head and be singing along to the boys are back in town, but what the fuck is so appealing about a president who wants to tax us back into the 70's, dollar is already struggling which is why my familys been getting rich buying gold, but for f's sake, you read up about this guy he wants carter like taxes in an economy that is fucking falling apart, what real issue do you side with this guy on??

Um. Hi this is reality calling. Bush's tax cuts are what PUT us here. Giving the top 10% of the population more money doesn't stimulate the economy. They aren't the ones spending money.
In addition to that there is currently no check system functioning for the outsourcing of not only semi decent low income employment but the mid range employment is being hit as well. Tech sector jobs are being filled by non americans at a breakneck pace.
People laugh because call center jobs were the main ones being outsourced (at least until they had to deal with a tech issue and got a sing song indian they couldn't understand on the phone.) But for low income people those jobs were gold. They paid 3-5 dollars an hour more then minimum wage and would hire people with no experience. Most call centers were located in areas that were economically depressed so a 10.00 an hour job was crazy.
And those are the people spending money, the ones that were stimulating the economy.
Give people who earns 100k or more a year 10 grand it ends up in a bank, however you give someone earning 20k a year 5 or 10 more and they buy things. Like houses. Those are those things you keep hearing about being foreclosed left right and center.
The only thing that bush has accomplished is making the middle class disappear. There are more people living at poverty level or below in this country then there were even under reagan.
We went from having a budget surplus, btw the budget is what those taxes things pay for, to being in the hole again with fucking china bailing us out daily.
Yeah bush's taxes are working great.

That implies he will be elected. Don't count on it. There are a lot of people opposed to a woman president, take that number and cube it and you have the number that oppose a black president. He has as much chance as nader. He'll grab more votes but he won't win.
Unless Hillary landslides soon, McCain will be moving into the White Horse next year.
And I don't want to hear the tired argument about how many blacks there are in America, it's a non issue because they have an 18% voter turn out historically. 18% ain't gonna do shit.

it amazes me after the last eight years of hell any of the American public could even fathom having another republican in the white house for a long while. or even someone part of the same old establishment. it kind of reminds me of that whole typical scene on "COPS", when the abused woman is screaming at the police. Not to take away her boyfriend, who just got arrested for assault for beating on her. its almost as if some of you people seem to like getting shit on by your politicians. Ours are equally a joke but we have a tighter leash on the situation... i must be high to try and argue politics with americans.

The Republicans run on even more tax cuts. The same taxes they've been cutting since 1980 when our National Debt was $1 trillion.
Now, in 2008, the National Debt is $9-$10 trillion.
Those aren't tax cuts, dolts, those are tax deferments.
Voting Republican is akin to carrying an ever-increasing balance on your Chinese bank-issued credit card whilst cowering in your basement-bunker awaiting the next Al-Qeada attack (they...are...EVERYWHERE!!!). As evidence of their inherent aptitude towards national threats, the Republicans gave us the Cheney Anti-Terrorist Task Force (did not meet until AFTER 9/11), "My Pet Goat", "Mission Accomplished", and the mercenary/privatization of the U.S. armed forces ("Iraq for Sale"...watch it; then watch "Why We Fight").
Voting Democrat is appointing intelligent, reasonable adults to try to incrementally fix the mess that the Reagen Revolution wrought. And they will fail due to Republican sabotage such as:

Well,the Conservative philosophy is for lower taxes and lower spending.
Reagan got Congress to lower taxes but Congress went apeshit on the spending front. Budget increases,courtesy of a Dem controlled Congress went stratospheric,and the increase in Defense spending accounted for a minority of that increase.
With Bush however,he got some tax cuts but didn't get any real spending cuts to go with. Made worse because Congress was controlled by the Republicans. Seriously,first time in decades you have the ability to get the conservative agenda through easy and the Republicans turned into Democrats on crack. Morons.
The Republicans got the beating they deserved in '06 and Bush deserves all the criticism he gets for it. His leadership skills(or lack of them)are a joke.
That being said,it took him Six years to cost his party control of Congress. Clinton accomplished that feat in Two. I guess Bubba McHilljack really was a better President.

A week and a half ago Clinton held 20 point leads in OH and TX and ended up squeaking by.
Her mention today of a "shared ticket" is all the proof you need that the Clintons have lost.
Hopefully going forward we are free of Clintons and Bushs.

In this election, they saw fit to award more delegates to affluent white suburbs and areas populated by blacks, while effectively disenfranchising the state's Hispanic voters.
With this kind of bullshit and the existence of superdelegates, who can really say that the Dem party is the party of the people?

The Mexicans got fucked? Welcome to America. Superdelegates are meant to keep the peasants from going nuts and bringing up a candidate that's popular but too loopy to make it on the national stage and to keep them from hijacking the party, a la Chicago 1968. Almost like the electoral college keeps the hoi polloi from going too far and the senate keeps the house from diving off a cliff on every piece of legislation. Undemocratic? Probably, just as much as the electoral college sham.
