I'd like to see some real evidence here, i.e., measurements of ball delivery speed over time, etc. It's been well documented that bat speed is improved, but pitching is an entirely different problem. I assume baseball teams keep stats on pitch velocity at the MLB level but it's not likely not be nearly accurate enough to see any difference. Even bat speed is improved less than one might think. Bonds* only added a few feet to his home runs on average, not tens of feet. I see nothing wrong with use of this stuff as part of legitimate treatment - nobody's whining about Schilling shooting up today - but I'm not convinced it helps balls speed after all the positives and negatives are weighed. Pretty soon we're going to start seeing breathless stories about pitchers too I suppose.
