It may just a bit. The thing is there are not blacks in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala etc. You may have decendants of slaves in South America, but they are Latino by definition. Pop culture makes blacks look bad. Gangs, drugs, violence, hip-hop....doesn't look good in their eyes.
American Latinos, maybe more open minded (second generation for example) because they grew up around them or are aware of them.
