I honestly think I'm tone deaf because I can't tell when someone sings well and when they sing horribly so I tend to prefer songs where no human voice is present. Other songs I can't even explain- like when I first heard "Shhhhh" by Bjork I knew I liked it, but I don't know whether she's a good singer or not.

The most embrassing thing is when I go to concerts (or at least when I did), I always had to ask someone if the person was singing well because I couldn't tell.

Every audio production nowadays is heavily processed; and usually in a way that would make professional audio engineers curious, not the rather oblivious end consumer.

In porn it can be enough to cut around directions like "Open up!", "Insertion!" and "Long strokes!", but for Christina Aguilera more will be used. If she has a voice and can sing, all the better - she would be marketable without these abilities as well whatsoever.
