Not selling dogs in pet stores would probably make it pretty difficult to own a dog. And don't be so naive to think that that isn't their ultimate goal. They don't want people to eat meat, own pets or have anything to do with animals accept letting them run wild. If they really wanted to help the animals in the video why are they putting pressure on Petsmart to stop selling animals rather than pressuring them to use a more humane pet supplier? To that end, why go after Petsmart at all and not the "Rainbow World Exotics", the ones actually mistreating the animals? Answer, they don't want people keeping pets.
well, i can't speak to their "secret" goals, but did you ever hear of adoption? i doubt they would begrudge you adopting a homeless dog. it's also cheaper and the dog would likely be healthier than one from a puppy mill. going to breeders works, too. (though i think they frown on that, but whatever) and if dogs work like birds do, buying from a breeder is substantially cheaper than buying from a pet store. but i don't know anything about that, so who knows. you're also likely to get much better advice and information from a person who breeds the animal than some seventeen year-old at petsmart. (i once overheard a girl at petsmart advising a woman buying a lovebird that she had to get two, because lovebirds must be kept in pairs or they will die- this is not true)
i would assume they want you to bitch to petsmart and boycott them because no one is going to rainbow world exotics to buy pets. they're going to petsmart, the happy pet place. and petsmart, the happy pet place that loves them pets, doesn't give a shit that the happy pets it sells come from this place. petsmart, and rainbow world exotics are profiting from negligence and unnecessary cruelty.
quit saying "peta!" it doesn't negate anything in that video.
