At least 170 of those had better have some kind of source provided before I believe any of them. I'm willing to bet 85% of these reasons are the writer's opinion and/or how he has interpreted various statistics and not verified facts.

38. Star Wars. As Mitterand once said, "What planet is he living on?"
Who gives a fuck what the French think? They thought the Marginot Line was a perfect defense system too.
Quote:
54. Bribes, kickbacks, and pay for play were the norm of this corrupt administration.
As opposed to the "campaign donations" people gave the Clintons so they could sleep in the Lincoln bedroom?
Quote:
60. Reagan fired all the air traffic comptrollers thus weakening air safety.
You mean the air traffic controllers that went on strike illegally thus weakening air safety.
Quote:
67. Unemployment hit double digits under Ronald Reagan.
Due to inflation hitting double digits at the end of Carter's term.
Quote:
72. Reagan's policies put small farmers out of work, allowing agri-business conglomerates to monopolize the industry.
Both my father and my brother had family farms in the 80s. Neither were put out of work. My father had his until he died and now my brother farms both.
Quote:
74. Reagan supported NAFTA.
So did Clinton.
Quote:
82. Reagan began his campaign for presidency in Philadelphia, Mississippi, preaching the same rhetoric as the murderers who killed 3 civil right workers (Schwerned, Goodman, Cheney) in 1963.
I really have no idea where Reagan started his campaign or what he said but I know that this is bullshit.
Quote:
94. Reagan supported the ayatollahs of Iran.
Bullshit, the ayatollahs were scared shitless of Reagan. Why do you think we got our hostages back the minute he took office? Besides how is giving the country the ayatollahs were at war with weapons equate to supporting the ayatollahs?
Quote:
110. Reagan supported the brutal murderous regime of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.
I believe here the author has confused Reagan with Noam Chomsky who maintained that the Khmer Rouge never happened well into the 1980s.
Quote:
121. Reagan's embrace of Barry Goldwater's extremist platform in 1964.
Courtesy of Wikipedia
"Goldwater viewed abortion as a matter of personal choice, not intended for government intervention."
"In response to Moral Majority founder Jerry Falwell's opposition to the nomination of Sandra Day O'Connor to the Supreme Court, of which Falwell had said, 'Every good Christian should be concerned,' Goldwater retorted: 'I think every good Christian ought to kick Falwell right in the ass.' 17] "
"in 1981, gave a speech on how he was angry about the bullying of American politicians by religious organizations, and would 'fight them every step of the way'."
Goldwater also supported gays in the military. If Goldwater was an extremist so is every single candidate running for the Democratic nomination.
Quote:
128. If you add up all the murderous regimes Reagan supported and tabulated the death tolls, Reagan would rank as one of the world's five biggest murders, slightly behind Hitler and Stalin.
Hitler and Stalin did their work on their own. No one includes all the other leaders they "supported" when figuring their murder statistics. Hitler supported Tojo but no one includes the casualties of Pearl Harbor on Hitler's resume. I can only conclude that to this writer "supporting" means recognize as the leader of their country. Stalin recognized Mao, Batista and numerous other Communist dictatorships but he does not get the credit for the atrocities they committed. This is a complete double standard this writer is holding Reagan to here and frankly his faulty use of logic here is enough to question the credibility of his other claims.
Quote:
139. Reagan tried to undo Title Nine and equal education laws.
Title IX is a sham and should be undone, same with affirmative action.
Quote:
162. The number of business failures in Reagan's first term tripled the number of business failures during Carter's presidency.
Because the effects of Carter's economic policies did not hit home until the early 1980s. Unless this writer is willing to admit that the stock market growth early in W's term had nothing to do with Clinton's policies. I'm willing to bet I will see John Madden flying a 747 before that happens.
Quote:
165. The events surrounding Pan Am flight 103.
Like bombing Quadafi's palace. Notice how Libya has pretty much stayed out of the international terrorism business since then. Also another reason to ignore Mitterwald, since the cheese eating fuckwad wouldn't let us use their airspace.
Quote:
69. As Governor, Reagan ordered California state patrol onto a campus where a 25 year old man from San Jose was murdered by an overzealous officer.
As president Bill Clinton allowed the FBI to burn down the Branch Davidian complex killing 17 children under the age of 12.
Quote:
179. Reagan was the first divorced president in American history.
He's really reaching here. Any freshman debate student would decapitate him if he tried to use this to support a position on Reagan's presidential legacy.
Quote:
185. Reagan admitted to falling asleep during Cabinet meetings.
His cabinet had Casper Weinberger and James Watt in it. Who could stay awake listening to a conversation between those two?
