i'm with bornyo. when i had all three (

) of my kids --in ohio-- they had tracking sensors on their umbilical cord stumps, with corresponding alarms set up on every possible exit from the hospital floor. the moms all wore bracelets. each baby and mom pair also had their own numeric code, on the baby's sensor and the mom's bracelet, and the codes were matched up and documented, etc. each time the baby was taken from the room for procedures, etc., and upon its return. it seemed pretty secure, and that was ten years ago (the first one, anyway.)
