saw it about week ago, its definately missing something, could be one of the best movies ever made but it is missing *something*

sort of cool that is based upon the doheny family, it is without doubt an acting job of the highest order although its completely based in fiction, (graystone is touched on, but dohenys son shot his valet in a murder suicide or vice versa) its a movie you'll walk away from going if only maybe they did this better or made this character stand out more it could be perfect.

I have to go with ranathan on this. I found it very difficult to 'get inside', and had a lot of trouble connecting with the characters. Acting was great, directing was great, but the whole thing left me cold.

On the other hand, I thought No Country for Old Men was a heartbreaking work of staggering genius.

I still think Vigo should have won for his role in Eastern Promises
