As far as the question "why Iowa first" goes, I don't know, I won't be an apologist on the matter. I do know that Iowans are generally good people, slow to judge, allergic to bullshit, and patient. Howard Dean's gaffe in '04 of dressing down a persistent questioner at a campaign event cost him dearly.
All told, I'm proud of the fact that lilly-white Iowa chose Obama, and equally perplexed that Huck also took the prize. These are strange times.
