As one born and raised in Iowa and with a great deal of ancestral history intertwined with the Republican party, I'm a bit shocked.

I haven't been in the state or in touch with anyone there during the campaigning, but it's obvious to me that this nutjob Huckabee won't ever be elected president, particularly in the shadow of the outgoing nutjob, Bush. Don't get me wrong, I'm not on any Bush haterade here, for I'd wager at this point that even the staunchest GOP'ers must be at least a bit disappointed.

There are many good reasons that the 1st caucus is held in Iowa, none of them appear to have been on display yesterday for the GOP, but I digress. Have the Iowa Repubs just ended the GOP's hopes for the presidential office? Very possibly, yes.
