I've never heard of her but do you think it's possible she could of been underage and people are just now finding out?
That would be the only reason I could think of that would cause them to take down her info and refuse to talk about it.

It could be that she is 'friendly' with someone involved at the site?
For example, EBI still does not list Lenka Horavkova's appearance in Private #178, and for a long time removed any reference to it, apparently at her behest, just so that she could preserve the illusion that she didn't do hardcore. Now that she has given up the ghost and done more b/g stuff, they still haven't added it. 
For those playing along at home, HERE is the photoset in question. It's a continuation of the non-sex role she had in a photoshoot in Private #175 (which they do list)

As you can see, she's not interacting with the penii in any way, but at the same time, I very much doubt this shot made her portfolio.
BGAFD also has performers whose names they censor out any reference to, and they also remove images from their database at the performers request, thus nullifying any hopes of identification.
Here's Essy Moore's page. It just seems so pointless...there are loads of other places wherein one can find pictures of Essy Moore, so what sense does it make to remove it?
I think you'll find the Heidi Kat mystery is probably just another example of the same thing...

This is similar to the brouhaha that Risi Simms's suitcase pimp started a couple weeks ago. Heidi Kat's "people" would have been better off letting her career fade off into obscurity in silence. Trying to remove all record of her porn past only focuses new attention on what she did and who she is. Idiots. Unless it's a comeback then smart move. Interesting. She's no longer on Excalibur ... which isn't odd. But here's something interesting .... I found her listed on another site and tried to back into Excalibur to see how they listed her. The DVDs weren't there. Not even as historical references. Now that is ODD. Four sample titles in question: Buttman Vs. Buttwoman (1992) [scene 4, w/Cassidy & Sean Michaels] Buttman's Favorite Big Butt Babes (1997) [Compiliation, scene from above] Buff Chicks (2002/2003) [Compilation, not on IAFD, no info] Anything That Moves (1992) [scene 4 w/Nick East & Tim Lake] I've been using the Excalibur site since my 1st internet porn purchase in late 1999. Though I stopped buying through them in 2004 or so after 2 bad problems, I still use their site as a very useful reference. They usually have EVERY available DVD. They actually keep information on DVDs & VHSs that are unavailable [out of print, etc.]. I searched ExcaliburFilms.com for all 4 DVDs that were listed for VOD on the one site and it's as if they never existed to ExcaliburFilms.com. But, the DVDs are available elsewhere. On those sites, some list Heidi as Heidi Cat, others oddly vary the spelling. But the disks are for sale. Just not at Excalibur. And, I reiterate: To Excalibur, they NEVER EXISTED. Guess Virginia Beaver's got no balls.

The only hope she has is that after all this time her model releases have been lost. She was a minor B-list girl who wasn't in much so it's possible.
The thing she has to worry about is the possibility someone might still have a BTS segment of her doing her paperwork, chatting about the scene, etc - something proving informed consent.
Excalibur doesn't need a model release though - they're a retailer and her videos are before the ID rules. I don't really see how she has a case unless she's willing to testify, under penalty of perjury, that she never signed a release.
And Heidi - you didn't do porn before the birth of the Internet. I first used in the Internet in 1985 and we called it that even then (though arpanet was more commonly used).

I'd have to think Excalibur must have caved to the lawsuit and removed all references to her. Even if the suit was completely groundless, Excalibur would have still faced some hefty legal expenses to have it dismissed. Such costs would probably have far exceeded any expected future value in revenue derived from sales/rentals from Heidi Kat's titles.
They probably also agreed to a non disclosure clause.

Legitimate media companies carry insurance that would cover missapropriation of a persons image. So it shouldn't be comming out of excalibers pocket unless they were stupid enough not to have insurance.
While her performances may not have proceeded the internet age, her model release may have been limited to forms of publishing that were known at the time. Sort of like the issue with the writters strike. Does someone gave model release circa 92 or so that they can post.
I wonder if all the performers whose movies proceeded the internet are owed money as well. Nina Hartley, Ron Jeremy, Randy Spears, Christy Cannon, Taija Rae, Tori Welles, I've seen all their movies available online. Now that I think of it, they could all be owed money for online sales. How can you provide a release to something that didn't exist? May not be such a frivolous suit afterall.

I think porn releases are generally along the line of "you surrender all rights forever".
It's possible someone paid an attorney by the hour and got a long document that itemized things. But most likely she's gambling this is porn, and nobody keeps silly pieces of paper for 15+ years, especially when companies fold, catalogs are sold, etc. She'll claim she never signed a general release and see if anyone can prove otherwise.
She was a pretty minor performer in few scenes; she's not even Lubben material. As said above Excalibur probably sold one title with her every year or two, usually from a customer typo; Heidi isn't worth the trouble.

Its Heidi Kat, not Holly Cat. I just did a search on Gamelink, all her movies are there and I'm going to watch Anything That Moves again. Tracy Wynn played a great ditz.
The model release (which I doubt anyone still has) likely says that they can publish the images in any medium. Her argument--and that of any pre internet porn star-- would be that she only intended to release her images to mediums that existed at the time. Its not far fetched to imagine a judge could side with her on that and say the producer and distributer was unjustly enriched and owed her $$$$. Not exactly a slam dunk, but not far fetched either.
