Maybe he's getting wood contemplating her cold inanimate corpse and needs to keep the memory of how much it excites him fresh by reminding people she's still dead.

Its just theory....not a good one but just as plausible as any other scenario. He might just be really obsessed with the whore and hasn't found a new tramp to fixate on and he might be way too lazy to build a new stalker shrine so he's trying to keep the one he has viable for just a little bit longer. Who knows?
