I want to take the opportunity to share with you all something. I don't want to sound like I'm lecturing......I just want to talk with you all about recent tragedies in my industry involving Heroin overdoses.
Heroin is a super nasty drug. One that I DON'T advocate the use of at all! This year alone, our industry has suffered the loss of 4 people. Hailey Page, lost her life August. Chico Wang, lost his life in September. Danny Dukes ( a super cool dude that I've known since I got in the business) died a couple of weeks ago. And Chasey Lain, just passed away a few days ago. Such a waste of life. My feelings is that perhaps there is a bad batch of heroin going around, maybe one that is too pure, too strong, WHATEVER! Just don't fuck with it. Seriously, what is wrong with just smoking weed? What is the attraction to these other drugs that can waste your life away? I don't know.
This message is for all my friends here on myspace: If you're using Heroin, GET HELP, this addiction WILL take your life eventually. Reach out to you to your family and friends. Get counselling. Another life does not need to be lost to this drug, although I'm sure there will be many more lives lost to it. I am aware that Heroin is the HARDEST drug to get off of. But believe in yourself and the support of your family/friends to help get you through it!
I hope this opens some of your eyes. Please think about the repercussions of using a drug like heroin and choose to STAY AWAY!!!!!

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Reports of a Chasey Lain overdose and even her death during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo this past week were rampant on several internet sites, including AVN.com. Further investigation revealed that our sources, who had informed us that the person in question who had overdosed and was taken out of the Venetian Hotel with no identification was indeed Chasey Lain, were mistaken.
On Thursday Lain stopped by the AVN offices to tell her side of the story. This is what she had to say:
"There are no details, because nothing happened, period. I didn’t overdose. Nevada is a no tolerance state, number one, so even if I had taken too much, there’s no way I could have been released. It’s legally not possible.
"There was no overdose, there was no incident, there was nothing until somebody plucked this out of thin air. I was perfectly fine, and I was with people 24/7, and there was no overdose, there was no nothing, there was no incident. My attorney’s already having papers drawn up as we speak against the people who fabricated this story, because it’s obviously slander," Lain said.
"I was there doing a promo for the band [Digital Underground] while I was there, so there’s no way I could have been OD'ing. [AVN.com has confirmed with two sources that she was in fact with two people up until the time that she allegedly overdosed.] I have my badge and it says 'Pleasure Productions' and it says 'Chasey Lain.' I read the other Website, we went online last night, I wanna find every one of these people and find out why.
"Who hates me enough to make up this shit? Obviously they’re trying to cover up someone who’s making up a lie to hurt me."
Lain went on to say, "I didn’t go to any hospital. Can they produce some hospital papers for me please? I’d like to see the record of the police report, the hospital report, can they fabricate that and produce it? Let me see it. I’ve already started tracking them all down.
"The damage is already done, you can’t get it out of their minds. It’s already done, you think the jury is gonna mind if it’s stricken from the record? I am [on trial] in the whole court of public opinion."
"There is no story."
AVN continues to investigate the facts and will have more information as it is confirmed.

Marlin F, that avn story is from years ago. Just pointing that out so it's not confused with Olivia's news about Chasey.

Heroin is getting a bad rap, stop it. People who OD on it are simply victims of evolution, and if it weren't Heroin they would overdose on something else, like Windex or chocolate Ho-Hos. Guns (and Heroin) dont kill people, people fuckin' kill everything, including themselves

I'm not advocating it's use, but if you look at the overall effects of heroin on the body, from the health complications point of view; it's the safest and least dangerous drug. (cigs, pot, alcohol, meth..) all have devastating health effects overtime to the body,(Emphysema, Liver damage, Carcinogen's...) while heroin is extremely addictive it's long turn effects on the body are very minimal, aside from the addiction and overdose risks.

Heroin fun facts:
From 1898 through to 1910 heroin was marketed as a non-addictive morphine substitute and cough medicine for children by Bayer AG of Germany. I remember on a History Channel show about illegal drugs that in the late 1800s, you could buy heroin and the "works" from the Sears and Roebuck catalog for like $3.
