If there's even a chance he can claim Mexican citizenship, never in a million years. Also unlikely if the projected sentence is more than ~20 years. Our "friends" to the south are kinda funny when it comes to extradition.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court says it's OK for us to go down there and bring him back, whether or not Calderon calls it "kidnapping."

As for Shelley, I think she might just find herself abandoned by her natural allies as the election approaches, as candidates fall over each other using this case to shore up their immigration platforms.
