Why was it hard to find? I believe Crowley's writings have been reprinted often. Is It an original that you were looking for?

Yeah, this one is a signed first edition.
But Moonchild is out of print for quite some time.

That's cool then I didn't know it was a signed 1st ed.. What is Moonchild? Is it a novel that he wrote or more of his treatises on the occult?

It´s a novel, but I´m not planning to actually READ it. I just collect rare books.

That's cool, do you have any others signed by famous people? My friend has a signed copy of a book by Mussolini, a nice find but quite a lot of money.

I have DANGEROUS VISIONS signed by all the writers, but the majority of my collection is of signed comic books. I have FROM HELL signed by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell, THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS signed by Frank Miller, KINGDOM COME signed by Alex Ross, GREEN LANTERN/GREEN ARROW signed by Neal Adams, a lot of stuff signed by Moebius, Jim Aparo, Neil Gaiman, Will Eisner and Bill Sienkiewicz, and many others.

Oldest book I have is a 1689 tome on How To Identify a Witch. It´s mainly illustrations, with a looong hand-written intro that´s extremely fucking hard to read.
I use it to impress gothic girls saying that it belonged to Matthew Hopkins, but that´s not true - at least not that I know.

I've considered getting into book collecting. I'm sort of into old bibles, liturgies, Books of Hours, missals, that sort of thing. I bought *one page* from a 16th century Vulgate on ebay once for about $6 US just for the hell of it. I don't really know anything about storing old books or anything so I never realy pursued it.

Smartt man, you like comics too, dude in terms of entertainment and collecting our tastes are quite similar. Those comics artists and creators you have there are the cream of the crop, good work on those collectibles.

Kami, just curious why does living in Tallahassee screw up books? The humidity?
It´s possible. I once saw a book, seemingly pretty solid, turn to dust like talcuum powder on my very hands.

The most beautiful devil ever in a movie was in the Ninth Gate. IMO Polanski's hot wife.
