She watches "My Name is Earl" and "the Office" but will turn the channel to avoid "30 Rock."



One of my favorite scenes from last year involved a discussion of the GE/NBC/subsidiary flow chart (a wig company "owns NBC outright").

Know what you do, Gunker? Next time the subject comes up, remind the guy that Carrol O'Connor, Mr. Archie Bunker himself, was an unabashed, life-long New Deal/FDR- liberal.

That ought to shut her up.

Baldwin's a bit too far left for my tastes, but that doesn't reflect his acting/comedic ability. That clip was fucking hysterical.

Anyone who takes ANY actor seriously on any subject needs to have their head examined. An actor should be appreciated for nothing more than what he is--a prancing, flea-bitten, organ-grinder's monkey who chatters moronically while gazing into a hand mirror.

this is a genius film

I thought Bob Roberts was a brilliant satire of populism and could, slightly tweaked, apply just as easily to the left as the right.

Robbins and Sarandon are two more examples of folks who are too left for my taste, but whose work I've enjoyed, depending on the film.

If your views are informed by which celebrities subscribe to them, or if you boycott their work because of their views, you're intellectually lazy and should start reading heavily before you next vote. If you remember how.

30 rock is a great show, although I think that last year was stronger than this years so far. Baldwin is perfect for that role and is my favorite character to watch.

Of course I already loved him in Miami Blues

I haven't seen a lot of episodes of it, but what I've seen I've really liked.

Oddly there was one episode with Tina Fey dating a lesbian and Baldwin taking everyone's money in poker - I've seen that one three times now - hilarious every time.
