If it's anything like the book, it's going to be heavy. I heard the original draft of the book that he submitted was 600 pages long. I wonder what they chopped.
I can't get excited about this because I know, regardless of the talent of both writer and director, the studio won't let them be faithful to the book. If this ever makes it to screen, my gut tells me it will be the very definition of watered down.
