The abortion rate is much higher. Black women are much less than 36% of the female population, but have 36% of the abortions. In terms of absolute numbers, the size of the white majority makes for more abortions overall.

I was merely offering some info in response to Bornyo's speculation. How the abortion rate or total relates to the number of babies available for adoption is very debatable anyway.
