A change in scenery

I arrived in Tampa yesterday afternoon with abundant sentiments of both excitement and distress. I thought to myself, "perhaps I am making the wrong decision". My flight from New York to Florida was overall uneventful, the usually cast of single serving friends, eager to hear your life story for the sole purpose of getting their turn to tell their own. Not ten minutes after the take-off I fell asleep. My slumber was soon after disturbed by the infant to my right attempting to insert a lion animal cracker into my ear.

3:15pm Welcome to Tampa

I was immediately greeted by Josh as I stepped off the escalator. He was (just as he said he would be) dressed in all black attire, and thus quite easy to find when searching through the crowded airport of overweight underdressed yuppies and hicks. Thankfully there were no complications in obtaining my luggage.

4:05pm Josh’s house

Upon entering the main living room/ kitchen I am reminded of a display I had previously viewed on an IKEA show room floor. (I smile as I refer to Fight Club quotes through out this bog) As I began to unpack, putting my clothing in the two middle dresser drawers that I proudly claimed as my own, it began to hit me. I nearly broke down into tears, conceiving the sense of comfort I left in New York at the moment I separated from mi ex amor.)

8:00pm And so it begun
My first night being single... ^.^

Josh, his brother, his brother's girlfriend, and myself went to Steph and Mark's house. There I had the pleasure of meeting quite a few interesting Characters... I believe I got along with everyone very well and look forward to getting to know everyone better ^_^
At the moment that Josh asked me if I would like a drink, I replied "I just broke up with my boyfriend... Of course I want a drink!!" It was not that they were strong, as a matter of fact they were mixed quite well and I could barely taste the alcohol. Four cups of the strawberry/ orange vodka mixture and a beer or so later, I was so drunk, it was just silly. I became much more comfortable with the company around me, as I was acquainted with everyone. The doubts I displayed earlier that day were no more... I am certain I chose correctly in moving down here.

11:00pm The Castle

We all left for the Castle around 10:30. As we approached the club I began frolicking about like the drunken fool I am. As we q'd to enter the club, I became a bit better acquainted with some of the folks around me. Here I was introduced to one fellow dressed in a top hat, who I must say intrigued me quite a bit more then most. (I am quite a fan of the eccentric) I attempted to look somewhat sober as I entered the club, and was marked with the two X's of Grrr!! (The "X's of Grr" still have yet to wash off completely) I can't completely recall the club in its entirety. Everyone seemed to be doing their own "thing" Josh took off to acquire some more alcohol, and I danced for 2 minutes at most, and then wandered around dazed and confused. An hour or so passes as my travels took me towards a smaller room with a separate bar. I sat down for a few moments, and noted the same guy in the top hat from outside at the club. I continued to observe the room as I was approached by him. We talk for a bit and leave the club.... ... ...

1:30am Denny's

We met up with Eric at Denny's. At this point I am so intoxicated, that I cannot distinguish the difference or meaning of words, and thus found myself incapable of reading the menu. The only two words who's meaning I was capable of fabricating were Buffalo and Chicken... I therefore did what seemed logical and ordered the buffalo chicken.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first evening in Tampa. I just hope that I did not cause too much of a ruckus, or make myself out to be too much of a fool.

I find it infinitely better reading than anything Sasha Grey has ever written.

She is also a better fairy than Mia Rose. Then again she is crazy and not a druggie tweaker.
