I have heard from Sacramento as well as being told by several legislators at the last lobbying day, the state of California is concerned with the health and safety of performers in the industry.

Out of curiosity do you know if Ms. Cannibal was there at the last lobbying day?

This is a situation that needs to be handled politically by FSC and our lobbyists in Sacramento as quickly as possible before any movement to require condoms gains momentum.

Sorry Michael, but I have no faith in FSC to represent or deal with this issue in any realistic way in Sacramento. If anything I think if FSC keeps bringing it up it will only lead to *more* problems. In my experience Sacramento seems much more interested in taxation issues for porn than health issues. I think if anyone steps in first it will be the Los Angeles County Department of Health (or whoever it is mentioned on the syphilis waiver at AIM when you get that test taken) before Sac-town or OSHA.

However the disconnect between the gay and mainstream industries may cause friction (no pun intended).

As in the gay industry doesn't test for HIV or anything at all, actors get infected on a daily basis, and should be part of the house of cards FSC tries to work something out on before even dealing with legislators?

I think if anything the gay industry will be the first to come under Sacramento pressure given no moves towards regular STD testing and numerous counties in the past had no problem closing down bath houses as a means of insuring public safety during AIDs crises. All it takes is one well publicized news article in the right periodical.
