What is CAL-OSHA's stance on condomless blowjobs and also on external cumshots? Neither follow universal precautions for protection against blood-borne pathogens. If condom enforcement is coming, it only follows it will be the end of the popshot, cumguzzling, gagfactor, bukkake, etc. From Osha Quote:
Infectious materials include semen, vaginal secretions, cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid, pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, peritoneal fluid, amniotic fluid, saliva in dental procedures, any body fluid visibly contaminated with blood and all body fluids in situations where it is difficult or impossible to differentiate between body fluids.

I personally don't know anything about CAL-OSHA other than it's clear Anita Cannibal is on their payroll.
I would say this is a question for Pornlaw, but he's kind of busy right now.

This will all lead up to 'Vir-Sex'....or maybe I have watched Demolition Man too many times. [after futuristic, contact-free "sex"] John Spartan: Look, Huxley, why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way? Lenina Huxley: [stands up, shocked] Eeewww, disgusting! You mean... *fluid transfer*?

Euro-porn sales will skyrocket. Porn produced in countries without an OSHA will clean up. It'll be like sweatshop tennis shoes.

That's exactly what I was thinking, if the US Porn Biz is forced to go with condom only, you'll be seeing an explosion of Foreign produced porn in the US.
We'll be seeing more of the Girls from Ipanema

At this point, except for the TTBoy situation, there has not been any fines or orders imposed by CAL-OSHA or the Dept of Industrial Relations. However, based upon some of the chatter I have heard from Sacramento as well as being told by several legislators at the last lobbying day, the state of California is concerned with the health and safety of performers in the industry. This is a situation that needs to be handled politically by FSC and our lobbyists in Sacramento as quickly as possible before any movement to require condoms gains momentum. However the disconnect between the gay and mainstream industries may cause friction (no pun intended). There are other ways to better protect performers than current system other than to require condoms and dental dams. Obviously, there is also a First Amendment issue, but not being a First Amendment specialist I really cannot comment on the validity of such a position. I have been working with the FSC to bring health benefits to the industry so there is at least a safety net for the performers if they so choose. Thanks Michael www.adultbizlaw.com

Concerned enough to do something about it? I doubt it.
This is the California legislators' dilemma...if you move to start enforcing labor laws on the porn scene, you've just given a de facto imprimatur to the business of porn, alienating a big chunk of your voting block, unless you happen to be the one California Assemblyman from the Tenderloin. If you do nothing, you're perceived as not addressing the health and welfare of California residents (mostly), and applying labor laws arbitrarily, angering another voting block. Your only other option is to come out (pun intended) against porn, and you've just angered all of the porn producers who pay California income taxes, not to mention the performers who have to do the same.
Basically porn is a no-win issue for a legislator: s/he is fucked with just about every position. Maintaining the uneasy status quo is their best option right now, which means whores and stuntdicks will have to come together (pun intended) and act as a cohesive group to solve their health problems.
Oh, and by the way, that comes with another set of problems. If the performance population demands, and gets, enforcement by OSHA, who's pocket do you think that will come from...mine??? Ha! Porn DVD sales suck already, you think the producers are going to try and stick me with that added cost...get to learn the economic realities of pornographic wage deflation (pun intended again).

Okay, this may be a dumb question, but in the event that CAL-OSHA runs amok and mandated full-body-condoms for every scene, what's to stop American companies from picking up their tent stakes and moving a few miles down the coast to Tijuana, where there's a nice, friendly corrupt government, yet it's an easy drive to the bus stop in Chatsworth?
